Programma

Adja is een multidisciplinaire artieste met grootse plannen. Naast muzikante is ze eveneens theatermaakster, in de ontwikkelingsfase van wat ze zelf “Sophisticated Soul in een hybride concert-format” noemt: Soul, Gospel en Jazz staan centraal, gepaard met andere
sensorische kanalen die de ons vertrouwde verhaalvorm van muziek een extra dimensie geven. Met geuren, symbolische visualisaties en achtergrondzangeressen die de vertaling van haar innerlijke wereld echoën, beeld ze de mythes en archetypes uit die haar nummers
met zich meedragen. Mythes, als in “de hoofdstukken uit ons leven”, met name de gevoelens die we allemaal ervaren op de kantelpunten van onze bewustwording en de innerlijke reis die we daarvoor moeten afleggen.

Adja is Brussels-based creator, singer andperformer Adja Fassa, an artist who is quickly making a name for herself in Belgium as a multidisciplinary talent with big plans. Besides being a musician, she is also a theater-maker, in the process of developing what she herself calls “Sophisticated Soul in a hybrid concert
format”: music takes center stage, with her live shows gradually taking on a theatrical character. She tells stories through song, accompanied by other sensory elements such as smell and
symbolic visualizations. All this out of a desire to visualize the (collective) subconscious and especially, the feelings
we experience at the tipping points of our lives, into a total experience.
She recently released her first single ‘Told you so’, which will soon be followed up by a second single and a debut EP called ‘IRONEYE’,
on February 24. This in collaboration with groove-obsessed label Sdban Ultra
