Halfway between pop and the nostalgia of mid-2000s alt-rock, “Inferno” is a 5-song rending of the emotional turmoil singer/songwriter Linda Battilani navigated over the past few years. “I celebrate ‘Inferno’ as personal growth both as an artist and for my mental health”, she says when talking about the creative process behind the record, which she experienced as a freeing, limitless, boundary-crushing reinvention of herself. “It’s my way of saying ‘fuck it all’.”

With artists like Machine Gun Kelly and Avril Lavigne dominating the mainstream charts (again!), Pop Punk music has seen a remarkable resurgence over the past year. British- German band CADET CARTER consider themselves very much part of this genre, albeit their sound is much closer to Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday than it is to the aforementioned. As a matter of fact, VISIONS magazine crowned them “this generation’s Jimmy Eat World” in a euphoric review of the band’s 2022 album Anthems For The Weak. Having been on tour with Stand Atlantic, The Faim and As December Falls, CADET CARTER have established themselves as a kick-ass live band before signing with legendary label SBÄM Records in 2023, which is also home to Bowling For Soup and The Ataris. CADET CARTER’s most recent single is called Lift Me Up, their new album will be released in early 2024.
