———-
Indie Folk singer Hazlett was born and raised in Australia but if the past few years are anything to go by, he’s very much bloomed in Sweden. An old friend, one big break-up and playing Oasis’ Wonderwall; three times a night was the unplanned cocktail of moments that saw him throw adulthood to the wayside and venture to the other side of the world. A pocket full of nerves and a tangled mess of memories became the start of Hazlett’s unique brand of “Indie Ballroom Folk”. But everything crystallised one summer in Stockholm after finding the fabled collaborator chemistry in now close friend Freddy Alexander. A lot has changed since then and what started as a way for him to “figure out some things in his head…” has now become a whole world of music and beautiful details to move through. Even though the nerves never quite go away, there’s this newfound quiet confidence to the troubadour from down under. You may not have met, but sometimes when you’re listening to Hazlett, he feels like the only friend you’ve ever had.

SUPPORT: LUMINOUS KID
Luminous Kid is the stage name of Olof Grind, a Swedish multimedia artist who draws inspiration from his vintage and ephemeral analog visual world to create queer indie-folk tracks. His music offers a soft swirl of soothing songs that blend nostalgia and liberation, driven by dreamy plucked indie folk guitars and a strong lyrical focus, making him a modern queer storyteller.
Before his music career, Grind was already a renowned photographer and visual artist, responsible for the iconic artwork of Phoebe Bridgers’ Punisher album and featured in numerous publications, including Vogue.
In 2021, Luminous Kid released his debut album “at the end of the dream,” featuring 13 tracks, a coffee table book of his photography, and seven self-directed music videos. The record garnered critical acclaim and included a guest appearance by Phoebe Bridgers, while the music video for “The Gutter of Our Ecstasy” won “Music Video of the Year” at the Swedish music gala “Manifestgalan.”
Luminous Kid’s unique blend of music, lyrics, and together with strong self-produced visual material creates a complete body of queer art. After touring the United States in 2023, Luminous Kid is now gearing up to join Hazlett on the road across Europe.
