Three minutes were enough to take Europe’s breath away. JJ, a 25-year-old countertenor from Vienna, won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2025, bringing the title back to Austria for the first time in ten years. Overnight, an extraordinary voice became a phenomenon across Europe. With “Wasted Love”, JJ delivered not only the winning ESC song, but also an emotional statement and expression of his artistic philosophy: “Love is never wasted.” His music moves between opera and pop, between fragile intimacy and powerful emotional intensity — creating a distinctive sound that has established him as one of Europe’s most exciting new voices. Born in Vienna in 2001, raised in Dubai, and later returning to Austria, JJ’s background is as international as his music. Since 2022, he has been part of the Vienna State Opera, while also reaching a wider audience through appearances on shows such as “The Voice UK” (2020) and as a finalist on “Starmania21” (2021). With his following releases “Back To Forgetting”, “Haunting Me”, “Shapeshifter”, and “Ballerina”, he has continuously refined his unique artistic identity. On May 14, 2026, JJ will release his debut EP, “Into the Unknown”. Alongside his previous releases, the EP also features the new track “Unknown”, which will premiere during the Eurovision Song Contest 2026. The project marks another step into a sonic world that blends classical influences, modern production, and emotional intensity. JJ is not an artist who fades into the background. He is a moment that lingers. Europe has discovered him — now the next chapter begins. And this is where it truly comes to life: live on stage. For JJ, a live performance is not a show in the traditional sense, but an intense experience that merges opera, pop, and raw emotion. His voice does not simply fill a room — it transforms it. Between quiet, almost fragile moments and explosive highs, he creates a tension that captivates audiences from the very first note. Anyone experiencing JJ live is not simply watching a pop act but witnessing an artist who makes every line feel deeply personal. His first headline shows in Graz and Vienna sold out completely. Now, with the Act II – Into The Unknown Tour, JJ embarks on his first major European tour. The tour begins on September 17, 2026, in Munich and continues through cities including Prague, Warsaw, Berlin, and Zurich before concluding on October 11, 2026, at WUK in Vienna.
