Before and After
Moryana Filipova (b. 2000, Sofia, Bulgaria) is a visual artist whose work captures the raw energy and experience of live music. A graduate of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts with a Master’s in Costume Design, her practice is deeply shaped by her extensive concert experiences. She began her “Before and After” research during her master’s studies, documenting the emotional shifts she experienced before and after a concert. Now, as part of the production team at Kavka Oudaan/Zappa, she immerses herself in live music on a deeper level. This exhibition is a love letter to Kavka—shaped by the concerts she worked on. Observing every detail, she transforms these raw experiences into visual art.
Grondvondst
Niels Goos, born in 1988 in Tilburg. I studied at the art academy Sint Joost in Breda, where I graduated in 2014. After that, I moved to Antwerp and completed my master’s at Sint-Lucas in 2018.
With Grondvondst, I explored our relationship with language and how language functions as a cultural artifact. In this work, I became interested in the way we preserve language, carry it with us, and sometimes even literally bury it.
