Welkom terug bij Mara Moja, de one-and-only muziek open mic in Antwerpen!
2ND SEASON AT KAVKA, END OF THE YEAR EDITION!
Kom meedoen en deel jouw muziek en talent met een speciaal publiek 🙂
Voor elke editie worden er 3 speciale acts geboekt en gekozen door onze fijne oren om hun persoonlijke teksten en muziek met jou te delen.
Tussen/na de geboekte acts, is het podium open voor iedereen!
We willen zoveel mogelijk mensen ruimte geven, dus houd er rekening mee dat:
1) ‘First come, first served!’ – inschrijvingen voor de open mic openen om 19u30. We hebben een totaal van 12 slots voor open mic’ers, dus kom op tijd als je zeker een spot wil!
2) De eerste 8 ingeschreven open mic’ers mogen tot 2 nummers spelen, voor een tijdslot van een 7-8tal minuten. Mensen die zich later inschrijven mogen 1 nummer spelen (3,5 minuten).
Wees je daarvan bewust en respecteer ieders tijd.
Re-interpretaties van nummers van anderen (laten we de term ‘covers’ niet gebruiken!) worden geaccepteerd, maar we raden je ten zeerste aan om jouw eigen materiaal te delen! Mara Moja is hier om jouw talent te ondersteunen.

MR. OLIVER
“Mr. Oliver” is the alter ego of Antwerp-based singer-songwriter Alexander Devroe (28). While having learned to play the guitar at the age of 10, his true break as an artist came when releasing his debut-album “Between Good Days” in 2023. Mr. Oliver’s music is characterized by dreamy soundscapes, personal lyrics, and a unique guitar style.
In addition to his solo career, Mr. Oliver is also the guitarist for the Nieuwe Lichting- and Soundtrack finalist Noonzy. In this capacity, he has already performed at major festivals and venues in Belgium, including Maanrock, De Casino (support for Admiral Freebee), OLT Rivierenhof, and Tivoli (support for Warhaus).

BILLIE CONGE
Billie Congé is the musical alter-ego of actress Indra De Bruyn. As a child, Indra sang opera. Later on she became an actress. Although, for a long time, these two facts apparently had nothing to do with each other, they found a common ground in 2021 when she founded her Billie Congé project. Billie Congé creates narrative songs that move fluidly between indie, folk, rock and blues, and her characters, near and far, are given a voice.
Normally Billie Congé performs as a five-piece band, but for the Mara Moja sessions Indra will just bring her pianist; Len Bynoe.

HOME BODIES
Home Bodies is a musical project that started between Wout Vantieghem and Henri Vervaeke. Together they combine their own tastes to create lo-fi indievibes with influences from artists such as Big Thief, Oracle Sisters, Wings and The War On Drugs. After a few duo shows, the project expanded to a full band with talented members, including Babette Rogiers on keys, Esmee Cuvelier on bass and Arthur Persoone on guitar.
