Wicked Dub Division & North East Ska Jazz Orchestra

WICKED DUB DIVISION
Wicked Dub Division was born in 2005 in Italy, stemming from an idea by GP Ennas (drums), King Claudio (bass) and Luca Venerus (keyboards). After a series of vinyl singles produced for the sound systems scene, they released their first album entitled Wadada in 2011. The 2014 arrival of Michela Grena, the voice of B.R. Stylers and Massimiliano Peak (dub live set) marked a new starting point for the ensemble towards a path of musical experiment, mixing blazing and hypnotic sounds with wicked and minimal beats.

NORTH EAST SKA JAZZ ORCHESTRA
The North East Ska*Jazz Orchestra is a 19-piece big band made out of young musicians from the North-East of Italy who are professionals in the Jamaican and Afro-American music genre.
The band was founded in 2012 and since then it has played several shows around in Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands, Germany, Slovenia and Croatia. In summer 2016 it went on its first European tour whose main date was Rototom Sunsplash in Benicasim.
Thanks to its featuring with Mr. T-Bone (Africa Unite, The Bluebeaters, New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble; The Uppertones); Furio (Pitura Freska, Ska-J) and Olly Riva (Shandon, the Fire), the NESJO has conceived much support in a very short time.
Its line-up is: 4 Saxophones, 3 Trombones, 3 Trumpets, Flute, 3 Vocalists and Rhythm section.
The show consists of ska and reggae original songs, arrangements of the most famous jazz standards and other kinds of tunes from the afro- american tradition.
Over the years the NESJO has released one EP (Music For Marikana, 2014), one Album (Stompin’ and Rollin’, Brixton Records 2015), a 7” vinyl labeled Brixton Records (2016) with the collaboration of two of the main international Ska musicians, Fred Reiter from the New York Ska-jazz Ensemble and David Hillyard from the Slackers; and three official video clips: Take Five (2013), Hard Man Fe Dead (2016) and Mama (2017).

Warm-Up / Cool-Down act will be announced later on!
